What We're Building
O.W. Davis already has the foundation of a special community facility. GCYBS is bringing the property back to life with a reconstructed playing surface, flexible fields, safer spectator areas, refreshed facilities, concessions, community gathering space and programming designed to welcome everyone.

Adaptive sports, all-abilities recreation days and inclusive programming developed with experienced community partners.
Sensory-Friendly Recreation
Designated sensory-friendly days with reduced sound, smaller groups, clearly communicated schedules and a calmer park environment.

Cornhole, backyard sports, social events and low-pressure recreation focused on connection and camaraderie.

Adult wiffle ball, kickball, bocce, cornhole, coed leagues, tournaments and special events.
Community Organizations
School groups, nonprofits, civic organizations and community partners are welcome to use the park for events and programming.

Concepts and planned improvements remain subject to final design, funding, approvals and construction.

Work is underway to bring O.W. Davis back to life. Our goal is to welcome the community to the future O.W. Davis Backyard Sports Park beginning May 1, 2027.
The opening date remains dependent upon successful completion of the required restoration work.
