Our Story
Greater Cincinnati Backyard Sports grew from the Greater Cincinnati Wiffle Ball League, a recreational community founded in 2013. After more than a decade of bringing people together through wiffle ball, the organization began expanding its mission to create broader youth, adaptive, veteran, family and community recreation.
Today, that vision is becoming Greater Cincinnati Backyard Sports and the future O.W. Davis Backyard Sports Park in Dayton, Kentucky — an inclusive community destination designed to welcome everyone.

GCYBS is building something for the community — not for profit. Resources are reinvested into programming, facilities and the people who use them.
Affordable & Accessible
We are committed to keeping recreation affordable so that income is never a barrier to participation.
Inclusive Recreation
Adaptive recreation, sensory-friendly programming and veteran events are priorities — not afterthoughts.
Community Reinvestment
Revenue from adult leagues, events and partnerships funds youth, adaptive, sensory-friendly, veteran and community programming.
